SIEGFRIED IGNECIA
Lead Pastor

Pastor Siegfried Ignecia has been Senior Pastor at Calvary since 2016, totaling about 40 years of ministry experience. Out of gratitude for God’s love for him, he is in pursuit of Him. With great joy, he follows to become the man God has designed him to be. He values his calling and is very passionate about the opportunity to serve Christ and His people. Originally from the island of Curacao he comes from a multicultural background and is multilingual. He loves nature, personal retreats for spiritual growth, traveling and learning about other cultures. The city of Amsterdam, NY has been his home for over 30 years. He has been blessed with a son, daughter in law and four fun, inquisitive, energetic grandchildren who are a challenge to keep up with, yet bring great excitement into his life.

JOE PRISK
Associate Pastor / Worship Leader

Pastor Joe Prisk is the Associate Pastor and Worship Leader at Calvary. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, Joe served in the United States Navy, with tours in Vietnam during 1969-1973. He received his education at Montclair University, earning a degree in Psychology. In 1975, he was saved and delivered from drugs. Shortly after, he answered the call to ministry, went to a seminary and was ordained in 1980. Joe ministered in Saratoga Springs, NY until 1983. After, he traveled as an evangelist until he was hired as a chaplain by the New York State Department of Corrections. He retired after 20 yrs of service and joined staff at Calvary as Associate Pastor five years ago.  Joe is happily married to Patti. They have two children and two grandchildren. In Joe’s life “All is grand in Christ.”

DEAN ROMANO
Children's Pastor

Dean Romano is the Children’s Pastor at Calvary and is passionate about ministering to children and serving God through serving people.

Dean asked Jesus into his heart when he was seven years old and was baptized in the Holy Spirit in the fourth grade. He has served as Youth Minister and Production Coordinator since 1993. Dean studied Emergency Medical Services at Hudson Valley Community College earning his Paramedic Certification. He serves the community where he lives. Dean has served in ministries and other organizations throughout the Capital District, earned his ministry credentials though the NY School of Ministry (DSOM) and continues to learn and grow in God’s calling.

Dean is married and met his wife Maria when serving together in youth ministry at Calvary. They have two children, Anthony and Gianna. Dean and Maria continue to serve together and are excited to see what God has planned for Amsterdam.

AMAURY ORTIZ
Associate Discipleship Pastor

Amaury Ortiz is the Associate Discipleship Pastor at Calvary Assembly of God.  At the age of 18, he relocated to upstate NY to further his education at the University at Albany. In 2006 he earned his Bachelor’s in Sociology and Business Administration.  He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in November of 2005 in The Salvation Army.  In 2006, Amaury was educated by them and became their Youth Pastor where he enjoyed working with inner city youth and collaborating with other youth ministries.  He went on to be an Envoy Pastor at the Amsterdam Temple Corps and was later led by the Holy Spirit and founded Freedom Church, a multicultural, multilingual ministry.  While attending a Pastor's Prayer Meeting, Amaury met Pastor Siegfried. Siegfried is his Pastor, mentor, counselor and friend.  In November of 2018, Amaury joined Calvary Assembly of God as a member. In March of 2021, he accepted the full time position of Associate Discipleship Pastor.  In June of 2021, Amaury graduated with Honors from Damascus Bible Institute. He is continuing his education within the NY Ministries Network of the Assemblies of God, to be an ordained minister. 

Amaury has been blessed abundantly in his personal growth in Christ.  He treasures his quiet time with the Lord and continually praises Him for the goodness in his life.  Amaury enjoys spending time with his wife Stacy, who he met at Calvary in 2021. Together they continue to seek God’s will for their lives and are ready for where He takes them.  Currently, they serve Jesus together in prayer, community events and small groups.
